Clemson will host ESPN’s College GameDay for its top 25 showdown with NC State next week.
The game, which will kickoff at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC next Saturday night, could determine who represents the Atlantic division in the ACC Championship later this year.
ESPN announced it will be bringing its GameDay crew to Clemson early Sunday morning:
This is Clemson’s first time to host GameDay since its 42-17 win over Miami during the 2020 season. The Tigers were apart of GameDay just once last season — in its neutral-site showdown with Georgia in Charlotte in Week 1.
Both Clemson and NC State enter this game with perfect 4-0 records. Both teams have had c
lose calls — NC State was fortunate to get past East Carolina in Week 1 and the Tigers needed overtime to beat Wake Forest in Week 4.
Last season, NC State won this matchup in Raleigh. However, the Tigers had won the previous 8 meetings in this series.
This will be GameDay’s second trip to an ACC venue this season. The show also appeared at Pittsburgh for the Panthers’ win over West Virginia on Thursday night of Week 1.
