Dan Mullen has made his betting prediction for a key Week 5 ACC matchup.

The long time head coach and current analyst is favoring Clemson in the Tigers’ matchup against Syracuse on Saturday, picking Clemson to cover the -7 spread.

The Tigers are coming off an overtime loss against Florida State, where they were just shy of a big upset, but missed a late field goal that would have won the game. Clemson’s 2-2 record is looking better as the season progresses with Duke emerging as a legitimate team in the ACC. A win over Syracuse would do some favors for the Tigers.

Meanwhile for Syracuse, the Orange are off to a 4-0 start, but have yet to face much competition. Last week, Syracuse got a 13-point win over Army.

Despite being the betting favorite heading into the game against Syracuse, ESPN’s FPI favors the Orange, giving them a 55% chance to win.

The game between Clemson and Syracuse kicks off at noon ET on Saturday.
