DJ Uiagalelei is transferring to Oregon State.

The former Clemson quarterback announced that decision on Saturday afternoon. ESPN’s Pete Thamel was first to report Uiagalelei’s pending commitment to the Beavers.

Here’s his official announcement:

Uiagalelei entered the portal earlier this month after he was replaced by true freshman Cade Klubnik in the ACC Championship Game.

He leaves Clemson after three seasons with the Tigers. He led Clemson to back-to-back 10-win seasons, but the program did not make it back to the College Football Playoff during his time as the starter.

Clemson will move forward with Klubnik as its starting quarterback. The Tigers also signed a quarterback in the transfer portal this offseason — former Arizona State QB Paul Tyson, who is the great-grandson of legendary coach Bear Bryant.

Clemson will face Tennessee in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 30.
