ESPN’s College GameDay crew makes picks for Clemson-North Carolina game

Clemson is set to face North Carolina in the ACC Championship Game on Saturday night in Charlotte.

The Tigers are looking to get back on top of the ACC after failing to win the Atlantic division in 2021. Their last title game in 2020.

North Carolina is hoping to end a much longer drought. The Tar Heels haven’t won the ACC Championship since 1980. Their last appearance in the conference title game was back in 2015 when they lost to Clemson.

Here’s how ESPN’s College GameDay crew is picking this game:

  • Desmond Howard: North Carolina
  • LaDainian Tomlinson (guest picker): Clemson
  • Pat McAfee: Clemson
  • Kirk Herbstreit: Clemson
  • Lee Corso: Clemson

Both teams will be trying to bounce-back from rivalry-week defeats in Week 13.

DJ Uiagalelei has struggled in November, but has played well at times this season. UNC quarterback Drake Maye has thrown just one touchdown pass over his final two games, which were both losses for the Tar Heels.

Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m. ET.
