Clemson is the betting favorite over Wake Forest in Winston-Salem on Saturday afternoon.

ESPN’s Football Power Index agrees with that projection, giving the Tigers a 78.9% chance of pulling off the road win. That’s down slightly from FPI’s preseason projection of a 79.2% chance of victory for Clemson.

Clemson has won 13 consecutive games against Wake Forest. That streak dates back to 2008 — Tommy Bowden’s final game as Clemson’s head coach and just before the start of the Dabo Swinney era.

Since 2012, Clemson has won every meeting in this series by at least 14 points. The Tigers are 69-17-1 all-time against Wake Forest.

Clemson’s offense has been suspect at times to start the year, but so has Wake Forest’s defense. The Demon Deacons gave up 36 points to Liberty in Week 3. The Tigers’ defense and Wake Forest’s offense have both been dominant to start the season.

The winner of this game could have the inside track to winning the Atlantic division crown. NC State and Florida State also remain contenders for that honor.

Kickoff is at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday.
