Clemson is enjoying a well-earned off-day on Saturday during Week 9 of the college football season.

When the Tigers get back going again in Week 10, they will do so with an 8-0 record and a commanding lead in the ACC Atlantic division title race.

Clemson is a big favorite to win the division and eventually the ACC. If that happens — without any slip-ups — the Tigers are almost certainly headed back to the College Football Playoff.

ESPN’s Football Power Index likes Clemson’s chances the rest of the way. FPI has the Tigers with at least a 70% chance to win each of their remaining games. Here’s how FPI is breaking things down:

  • Nov. 5: at Notre Dame — 70.9% (preseason: 60%)
  • Nov. 12: vs. Louisville — 84.9% (preseason: 90.3%)
  • Nov. 19: vs. Miami — 90.9% (preseason: 80%)
  • Nov. 26: vs. South Carolina — 88.5% (preseason: 92.2%)

Clemson’s toughest-remaining game, per FPI, is at Notre Dame next weekend. It’s also Clemson’s final road game of the year.

The Tigers also have a better chance of beating Miami than they did in the preseason, according to FPI. The Canes have struggled mightily in recent weeks, losing four of their last five games before Week 9.

Clemson’s chances to win vs. Louisville and South Carolina have dwindled slightly. However, the Tigers are still big favorites in each of those matchups.

Clemson and Notre Dame will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET next weekend.
