Clemson has had a disappointing season so far in 2021, but ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) is projecting a strong finish for the Tigers.

FPI is predicting a 3-0 end to the season for Clemson, who started the year with a 4-3 record. That would mean Clemson finishes the regular season with 9-3 record and would have a chance to reach double digit wins in a bowl game.

That chance, too, could come in the ACC title game — where the Tigers still have some hope of reaching. Clemson could still make it to the ACC title game if it gets favorable results from NC State and Wake Forest down the stretch.

FPI currently gives the Tigers a 3.7 percent chance to win the ACC. They are projecting a final win total of 8.6 entering Clemson’s Week 11 matchup with UConn.

Here’s FPI’s predicted winning percentage in each of Clemson’s remaining three games:

  • Vs. UConn: 99.5 percent
  • Vs. Wake Forest: 72.1 percent
  • At South Carolina: 81.7 percent

Wake Forest is the only conference opponent remaining on Clemson’s schedule. The Tigers would need a win over the Demon Deacons to keep their ACC title hopes alive.

Clemson hosts UConn at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday.
