ESPN's FPI projects outcome of every remaining game on Clemson's schedule
It’s been a disappointing season so far for Clemson, but the Tigers can still accomplish several key goals this season.
With only one conference loss so far, Dabo Swinney’s squad is still in the mix for an ACC title. In fact, ESPN’s Football Power Index is projecting Clemson to finish 5-1 over its last six games.
FPI is expecting the Tigers to lose to Pittsburgh in Week 7, giving them just a 37 percent chance to pull off the upset. The Panthers are 3-point favorites in the matchup.
Here’s how FPI sees the Tigers finishing out the season:
- @ Pittsburgh: 37 percent
- Vs. Florida State: 89.8 percent
- @ Louisville: 75.8 percent
- Vs. UConn: 99.5 percent
- Vs. Wake Forest: 78.7 percent
- @ South Carolina: 86.5 percent
If FPI is correct, Clemson will finish the season with a 9-3 record in the regular season. North Carolina State would have to lose three times over its remaining six games in order for Clemson to have a chance at the Atlantic Division title.
Kick off vs. Pitt in Week 8 is at 3:30 p.m. ET.
