Clemson solidified itself as one of the top teams in the country with its 30-20 win over NC State on Saturday.
According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, Clemson has a great chance to continue its undefeated regular season. FPI gives t
he Tigers a 21.8% chance to run the table.
Clemson also has a 73.6% chance to win the ACC, according to FPI. That’s the highest likelihood for any team in the nation to win its conference. The next closest ACC team is Miami at 9.2%.
If Clemson does win the ACC, it will have a good chance of reaching the College Football Playoff. FPI gives the Tigers a 52.6% chance to reach the final four. That ranks 4th nationally behind Alabama, G
eorgia and Ohio State.
Finally, Clemson has a 18.6% chance to make the national title game and a 5.8% chance to win the National Championship.
Clemson is looking to get back to the College Football Playoff for the first time since the 2020 season. The Tigers fell to Ohio State in the semifinals of that season and haven’t been able to make it back to that stage.
