Former Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei is headed to the Pac-12, according to a report.

That’s per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, who says Uiagalelei has decided to transfer to Oregon State. Thamel says an announcement is expected in “upcoming days.”

Uiagalelei entered the transfer portal earlier this month after he was replaced by freshman quarterback Cade Klubnik. It was an up-and-down season for Uiagalelei, who helped lead the Tigers to another Atlantic division title.

However, he was replaced by Klubnik after the first two drives of the ACC Championship Game on Dec. 3. After that game, coach Dabo Swinney said Klubnik would be the starter going forward.

Uiagalelei leaves Clemson after three seasons with the Tigers. He helped lead Clemson to back-to-back 10-win seasons as its starting quarterback. However, the Tigers haven’t made it back to the College Football Playoff during that time.

Uiagalelei will be joining an Oregon State team that is coming off of an excellent 2022 season. The Beavers won 10 games this year for the first time since 2006.

Klubnik is expected to start in the Orange Bowl against Tennessee on Dec. 30.
