Former Clemson star A.J. Terrell is PFF’s highest-graded cornerback in the NFL

Former Clemson cornerback A.J. Terrell has become one of the best players at his position in the NFL.

Through 17 weeks, Terrell is the highest-graded cornerback in the league according to Pro Football Focus. He’s in good company on the rest of this list:

Terrell is a big reason why the Atlanta Falcons were in playoff contention until last week’s loss to the Buffalo Bills. He recorded 3 interceptions and 15 pass deflections this season.

This is Terrell’s second season in the NFL after being a first round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He h

as 4 career interceptions through his first 29 starts in the NFL.

Two more Clemson cornerbacks are likely to join him in the league next season. Mario Goodrich has already declared for the draft and Andrew Booth Jr. has that option as well. Both Goodrich and Booth earned first team All-ACC honors this season.

Atlanta ends its 2021 season against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
