Former Clemson receiver Dacari Collins is staying in the ACC.

Collins announced on Saturday evening that he will be transferring to NC State. He’s choosing to stay in the ACC after ending a two-year career with the Tigers.

Here’s Collins’ announcement:

Collins left the team mid-year after falling out of the receiver rotation at Clemson. He finished the year with just one catch for eight yards. He was more productive during the 2021 season as a true freshman. During that campaign, Collins caught 16 passes for 221 yards.

He was the No. 182 overall player in the country for the class of 2021, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. As a 4-star prospect, he was one of Clemson’s top signings for that cycle.

Clemson returns several key receivers to next year’s squad. True freshmen Antonio Williams and Adam Randall are amongst the players expected to return and play big roles in 2023.

Collins will face off against Clemson in Raleigh next season.
