Kirk Herbstreit was impressed with Clemson’s 31-14 handling of Syracuse on Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers led wire-to-wire against a Syracuse team that entered the game with an undefeated record. It was a statement victory for Clemson, who was in desperate need of a win after losing to Florida State in overtime last week.

Herbstreit said Clemson “bounced back in a big way” in a post where he recapped the early slate of games for Week 5.

Clemson is now 3-2 on the season and 1-2 in ACC play. The Tigers will need some help to get back into ACC Championship contention, but they still have a chance if they are able to win out the rest of the way.

Cade Klubnik continues to show improvement as Clemson’s starting quarterback as well. He tossed 2 more touchdowns and didn’t throw an interception in the win.

Clemson will now turn its attention toward Wake Forest in Week 6.
