On Saturday, Clemson cornerbacks struggled against the rangy Wake Forest receivers. The Tigers were without starter Sheridan Jones which meant true freshmen Toriano Pride and Jeadyn Lukus, sophomore Nate Wiggins, and junior Fred Davis were left to log every snap.
They all either gave up a touchdown or were penalized in coverage. Pride, Davis, and Wiggins were hit with both. Wiggins came into the season regarded as the most talented of the group, but he was also left in Wake Forests receivers’ wake this past weekend.
He spoke to the media on Monday about what happened in the Top 25 matchup.
