Clemson got a huge play from its defense on Saturday afternoon vs. Notre Dame.

The Tigers were already leading 17-6 when Jeremiah Trotter Jr. picked off Sam Hartman and took it the distance to give the Tigers a three-score lead over the Fighting Irish.

Here’s a replay:

This was the second defensive score of Trotter’s career. He also recorded a pick-6 last week against South Carolina.

Clemson now has two takeaways in this game as Notre Dame has had trouble taking care of the ball. Chris Tyree also muffed a punt in the first quarter, which resulted in a Clemson field goal on its ensuing possession.

Clemson is 4-3 all-time against Notre Dame. The Tigers are looking to avoid a third straight loss, which would put them at 4-5 on the season.
