Report: 4-star DL will visit Clemson just before commitment date
Clemson will host 4-star defensive lineman Kayden McDonald on a visit this weekend, according to a report.
That’s per The Clemson Insider, who spoke with McDonald this week ahead of his commitment date. McDonald is scheduled to announce his final decision on Oct. 31.
McDonald was in Norman last weekend for an official visit to Oklahoma. This weekend’s trip to Death Valley will presumably be his final college visit before making a commitment.
“I’m close to a decision,” McDonald told The Clemson Insider.
Clemson has been viewed as the favorite to land the Georgia native in recent months. The Tigers have received 3 crystal ball projections from 247Sports recruiting analysts.
If Clemson is able to secure his commitment, he would become a huge part of the Tigers’ 2023 recruiting class. He ranks as the No. 291 overall player and the No. 40 defensive lineman in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
McDonald is listed at 6-foot-3, 310 pounds. He attends North Gwinett High School in Suwanee, Georgia.
