Clemson wide receiver Beaux Collins is likely to miss the next “couple weeks” of fall camp, according to a report.

That’s per 247Sports’ Anna Adams, who notes that Collins is nursing a shoulder injury and did not dress out for Friday’s practice.

However, as Adams notes, Collins is expected to return to the lineup in time to play against Georgia Tech in Week 1.

Collins is one of Clemson’s most talented wide receivers and is coming off of an impressive freshman campaign in 2021. He caught 31 passes for 407 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Despite his freshman status, those numbers make him one of Clemson’s top returning wide outs. Of the players returning, only Joseph Ngata (438 yards) went for more yardage in 2021.

Clemson keeping its receivers healthy will be a major key to improving its passing offense this season. Several top receivers battled injuries last season, causing the Tigers to call upon Collins early in his career. Clemson could end up having to do the same this year with Antonio Williams and Adam Randall, who is expected to play at some point this season after tearing his ACL in the spring.

Clemson is a little more than 3 weeks away from kickoff. The Tigers face Georgia Tech on Monday, Sept. 5 to open the season.
