Former Clemson running back Lyn-J Dixon is back in the transfer portal, according to a report.

That’s per On3’s Matt Connolly, who notes that Dixon did not appear in a game for West Virginia after transferring there last November.

Because Dixon is transferring for a second time, he will have to sit out the 2022 season unless he can get a waiver from the NCAA.

Dixon was once a key recruit for the Tigers. He was the No. 7 all-purpose running back in the country for the class of 2018, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He was jumped on the depth chart at Clemson by younger players like Kobe Pace, Will Shipley and Phil Mafah.

Dixon was relatively productive early on in his Clemson career. He rushed for 1,420 yards and 13 touchdowns, with most of that production coming in 2018 and 2019.

Last season, he received just 10 carries before deciding to enter the transfer portal in September.
