Syracuse cornerback Duce Chestnut is feeling very confident about the Orange’s matchup with No. 5 Clemson on Saturday afternoon.

Chestnut met with reporters on Thursday and had no issues giving Clemson plenty of bulletin board material.

He spoke about Syracuse trying to end Clemson’s 37-game home winning streak, which is one victory away from setting the all-time record.

“Yeah, I feel bad for ’em because we’re definitely planning to spoil that,” Chestnut said. “That’s definitely on our mind.”

Chestnut also seemed to have zero concerns about going up against Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei this weekend.

“He’s a great player, but he’s got to go against a top-5 defense in my opinion,” he added. “We’ll see how it goes for him.”

The bulletin-board material from Syracuse comes just a day after quarterback Garrett Shrader predicted a win for the Orange in Death Valley. Syracuse is 2-8 all-time against Clemson and has never won on the road in this series.

Chestnut is having a great season for the Orange, but he might be without his cornerback partner in Garrett Williams this weekend. Last week against NC State, Williams exited the game early due to an injury.

Kickoff is at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
