Trevor Lawrence, former Clemson QB, earns Pro Bowl invite

Trevor Lawrence is headed to the Pro Bowl.

The second-year player was named to the AFC’s Pro Bowl roster on Tuesday morning, replacing Super Bowl-bound Patrick Mahomes on the team. This is Lawrence’s first-ever Pro Bowl selection.

Lawrence is just the 3rd Jaguars quarterback all-time to make the Pro Bowl. Mark Brunell made the even 3 times and David Garrard made it once (2009).

He’s also 1 of 2 Jaguars to make it to this year’s Pro Bowl, which is scheduled for this weekend. He’ll be joined by receiver Jamal Agnew, who made the Pro Bowl for his work on s

pecial teams.

Lawrence had a remarkable 2nd season with the Jags. He completed 66.3% of his passes while throwing for 4,113 yards and 25 touchdowns during the regular season. He also led Jacksonville to the AFC South division title and a win over the Chargers in the 1st round of the playoffs.

The 2023 Pro Bowl Games will begin on Thursday and will run through Sunday in Las Vegas.
