Clemson holds a 20-14 halftime lead over the Demon Deacons in-part because of the play of true freshman receiver Antonio Williams.

Williams caught 3 passes for 51 yards, but a couple of those receptions were incredibly valuable to Clemson’s performance. He made a pair of clutch catches on third down in the second quarter that allowed the Tigers to extend drives that eventually resulted in points.

This 39-yard grab was the highlight of the first half:

Williams’ 51 yards led the team in the first half. He entered this game with 9 catches for 133 yards and 1 touchdown in his career. He scored for the Tigers in last week’s game vs. Louisiana Tech.

He has caught multiple passes in each of his first 4 games with Clemson. However, Williams is still looking for his first career 100-yard game.

Clemson has won 13 straight games over Wake Forest.
