Tyler Brown made history as he crossed the 100-yard threshold in Clemson’s Week 5 contest against Syracuse.

The true freshman has been a revelation for the Tigers this season. A late addition to Clemson’s 2023 recruiting class, Brown has emerged as one of the top weapons in Clemson’s offense.

On Saturday against Syracuse, he was Cade Klubnik’s top target. He cleared 100 yards on the day in the 2nd half, making him just the 7th receiver in Clemson history to clear that benchmark within his first 5 games.

That stat comes via Clemson SID Ross Taylor:

Brown didn’t have an offer from Clemson until November of his senior season of high school. He committed to the Tigers a couple weeks after earning the offer.

Brown was the No. 759 overall player and the No. 106 overall player in the country for the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He was also the No. 10 player from the state of South Carolina.

Clemson is looking for its first ACC victory of the season vs. Syracuse.
