Cade Klubnik made a pretty good case to be Clemson’s starting quarterback moving forward in the first half of the ACC Championship Game on Saturday night.

After taking over for Clemson’s third series, Klubnik completed 10-of-11 passes for 149 yards and 1 touchdown. He also rushed for a score and led two other scoring drives in the opening half.

But his best play of the first half was a 68-yard completion to receiver Cole Turner down the left sideline.

Here’s that play:

Clemson’s offense improved significantly once Klubnik entered the game. It seems unlikely that DJ Uiagalelei will return for the Tigers in the second half. He went 2-for-5 for 10 yards over the first two drives of the game, with Clemson failing to pick up a first down.

Clemson is looking for its first ACC Championship since 2020. North Carolina hasn’t won the conference crown since 1980.

The Tigers hold a 24-10 halftime lead over UNC.
