Another big game from Paolo Banchero leads Duke to win over the Citadel
Duke freshman Paolo Banchero is continues to prove himself as one of the best players in all of college basketball.
Banchero helped Duke to a 107-81 victory over the Citadel on Monday night. He scored a game-high 28 points while also adding 8 rebounds and 6 assists.
This is a season-high for Banchero and his second time to top the 20-point threshold. He’s scored in double figures in all six of the Blue Devils’ games so far this season.
Wendell Moore was also sensational in this game. He nearly put up another triple double, posting 22 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists in the win.
Mark Williams (14), Trevor Keels (11) and Jeremy Roach (10) also scored in double figures.
The Citadel fought hard in this game and even set the record for most 3-pointers made by an opponent at Cameron with 18.
It’s also worth noting the Bulldogs’ coach, Duggar Baucom, collapsed early in the game. He was helped off the court — awake and aware — and reportedly taken to the hospital for further observation.
Here’s a video of the incident:
Here is the video of Duggar Baucom after collapsing on the court… It's not graphic, just shows how sudden it was. He is walking off, with assistance, under his own power. Such a scary situation. He's a wonderful man, truly hope everything OK with him. pic.twitter.com/gyV8fIIHtw
