Duke added a major piece to its 2024 recruiting class on Thursday morning.

The Blue Devils earned a commitment from 3-star EDGE prospect Ahmad Breaux.

Here’s his announcement:

Breaux is an intriguing pass rusher prospect in the class of 2024. He’s the No. 575 overall player and the No. 38 EDGE prospect nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He’s is from Ruston, Louisiana. He currently attends Ruston High School and is listed at 6-foot-3, 240 pounds. However, as Breaux said in his announcement, he’s also spent part of his life living in Durham.

“Duke University has a special place deep in my heart,” he wrote. “Growing up in Durham for my early teenage years, I’ve seen how far this program has come and I want to be a part of it.”

Breaux also has offers from programs like Stanford, Ole Miss and Tulane.
