Duke is the media’s pick to win the ACC in 2023-24.

The Blue Devils (44) received the most first-place votes in the preseason ACC poll, released on Thursday. Miami (5), North Carolina (1), and Virginia (1) also received first-place votes.

Jon Scheyer’s team is coming off of a second-round exit in the NCAA Tournament last season after winning the ACC Tournament. The Blue Devils lost to Tennessee 65-52.

Kyle Filipowski returns for another season in Durham. He averaged 15.1 points, 9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game last year. Filipowski was voted First Team All-ACC and ACC Preseason Player of the Year.

Guard Tyrese Proctor is back, and graduate transfers Ryan Young (Northwestern) and Neal Begovich (Stanford) have now joined the team.

Duke is coming into the season as the No. 2 ranked team in the country with some high expectations. It will go a long way for Scheyer if the Blue Devils win the conference championship for the second year in a row.

Duke’s 2023-2024 season tips off on Nov. 6 against Dartmouth. The game will start at 9 p.m. ET on ACC Network.
