Duke beat Syracuse 88-79 in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament on Thursday afternoon.

The Orange kept it close, but Duke hit several key shots down the stretch to pull away. Wendell Moore Jr. scored a team-high 26 points and also dishing out 7 assists.

Syracuse was missing star guard Buddy Boeheim, who was suspended for this game after committing a “flagrant act” vs. Florida State on Wednesday.

Boeheim’s brother, Jimmy, picked up the slack by scoring 28 points. Joseph Girard added 23 points and 6 rebounds.

Duke will now play the winner of Miami and Boston College in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament. The Blue Devils still have a chance to elevate to a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament if it wins it all in Brooklyn this weekend.

Duke’s last ACC Tournament title came in 2019 when the Blue Devils’ core of Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish got it done.

Duke plays at 7:00 p.m. ET on Thursday.
