Duke never trailed in its 79-59 win over Syracuse on Saturday afternoon.

The Blue Devils controlled the game from start to finish as they jumped out to an 8-0 lead shortly after tipoff. AJ Griffin made two 3-pointers and Mark Williams finished a dunk.

Duke never looked back. It eventually led by as many as 31 points as Mike Krzyzewski moved to 11-5 all-time against Jim Boeheim.

Four Duke starters — Griffin, Williams, Paolo Banchero and Wendell Moore Jr. — finished with 15 points. Joey Baker added 11 points off the bench

Moore and Jeremy Roach saw increased playing time in this game as freshman guard Trevor Keels was out with an injury. They responded with 8 and 9 assists, respectively. They also combined for 9 rebounds and 2 steals.

This win puts Duke back on track after falling to Florida State earlier this week. The Blue Devils are now 5-2 in ACC play and will end the day in third place in the ACC standings.
