Duke lands at No. 2 seed on Joe Lunardi’s latest Bracketology update

Duke is a No. 2 seed on ESPN’s latest Bracketology update, which was released on Friday morning.

Joe Lunardi dropped the Blue Devils down a seed line following their loss to Miami last weekend. Since then, Duke got back on track with a comfortable road win over Wake Forest.

In this bracket, Duke would face No. 15-seeded Princeton in the first round. Baylor, Arizona, Gonzaga and Auburn are the No. 1 seeds.

The ACC received four bids in this bracket — Duke, North Carolina, Miami and Wake Forest. Virginia Tech was listed as one of Lunardi’s first four teams out.

Duke still profiles like a team that could end up on the No. 1 line by Selection Sunday. The Blue Devils have several marquee nonconference wins — including over Gonzaga — and are expected to run away with the ACC regular season title.

Duke is also getting a big boost from freshman 5-star AJ Griffin, who has come on strong in the last few weeks. He started out slowly as he recovered from a knee injury when the season began, but has been a consistent offensive force since mid-December. He earned his first start vs. the Demon Deacons and responded with 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting.

The Blue Devils currently sit at No. 8 in the AP Poll and at No. 11 in KenPom’s live rankings

. They’re 13-2 on the season and 3-1 in conference play.

Duke will be in action again on Saturday vs. NC State.
