Duke’s 2023 recruiting class got a big boost on Wednesday afternoon.

The Blue Devils picked up a commitment from 5-star power forward TJ Power.

Here’s his announcement:

.

Duke beat out North Carolina, Iowa, Boston College, Virginia and a host of other programs for his pledge.

Listed at 6-foot-8, 210 pounds, Power has quickly risen up the rankings over the last few months. He was ranked outside of 247Sports’ top 100 until their May update.

Duke now has commitments from five 5-stars in the class of 2023. Three of them are listed as power forwards — Power joins Sean Stewart and Mackenze Mgbako. 5-star guards Caleb Foster and Jared McCain are also in the fold.
