Duke has rescheduled the first of two postponed games from earlier this season.

The Blue Devils were supposed to face Notre Dame in late December, but a COVID-19 pause interrupted their season. They will now face the Fighting Irish on Jan. 31, the program announced on Monday.

The game will be televised on ESPN:

This will be Duke’s only game vs. Notre Dame this season.

This will also create a bit of a schedule crunch for Duke at the end of this month. Mike Krzyzewski’s team will play 5 games in an 14-day span. Here’s how it breaks down:

  • Jan. 18: at Florida State
  • Jan. 22: vs. Syracuse
  • Jan. 25: vs. Clemson
  • Jan. 29: at Louisville
  • Jan. 31: at Notre Dame

Duke also has a postponed game vs. Clemson that will still need to be rescheduled for later this season.

The Blue Devils are coming off their first ACC loss of the season to Miami over the weekend. The Hurricanes shot a staggering 57.6 percent in the second half en route to the upset win.

Duke slipped to No. 8 in the updated AP Top 25 poll on Monday. The Blue Devils will likely maintain their status as a potential No. 1-seed if they’re able to get back on track in the coming weeks.

Duke faces Wake Forest in its first ACC road game of the year on Wednesday.
