Duke is moving on in the NCAA Tournament.

The No. 2-seeded Blue Devils beat No. 3-seeded Texas Tech 78-73 in an intense battle in San Francisco on Thursday night.

The Red Raiders led for much of the game before Duke took control in the final minutes. The Blue Devils did not miss a field goal attempt over the final 8:55 of the game and hit multiple clutch free throws down the stretch.

Sophomore Jeremy Roach and freshman Paolo Banchero were the heroes for Duke.

Roach finished with 15 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. He also hit two key mid-range jumpers in crunch time to keep Texas Tech at arm’s length.

Banchero played one of his best games of the season. He scored a game-high 22 points and also dished out 4 assists.

Sophomore center Mark Williams also played a key role in this game. He scored 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was a constant lob threat for the Blue Devils in the half court, particularly in the second half.

Duke will face No. 4-seeded Arkansas on Saturday for the right to to the Final Four. The Razorbacks upset Gonzaga earlier in the day on Thursday.
