Duke’s Kyle Filipowski is standing out amongst nation’s other top freshmen

Duke freshman Kyle Filipowski is having a unique season for the Blue Devils.

He’s the only power conference freshman in the country this season who is averaging at least 15 points and 10 rebounds per game in league play.

So far this year, Filipowski has managed 16.6 points and 10 rebounds per contest vs. ACC opposition.

Filipowski has been arguably Duke’s best player this season. He’s also coming off of perhaps his best game of the season, where he racked up 29 points and 10 boards against Virginia Tech.

On the season, Filipowski is averaging 15.7 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. He’s also shown off quite a bit of mobility this season, regularly pulling off moves in traffic like this:

Duke enters this weekend with a 14-6 record. It’s been an up-and-down season for the Blue Devils, who are in their 1st season with coach Jon Scheyer at the helm.

Duke plays at Georgia Tech on Saturday.
