Jay Bilas is a big believer in Jon Scheyer and this Duke team.

On Monday, Bilas published his prediction for each game during the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Bilas has Duke going all the way to the Final Four — further than any other ACC team.

Bilas has Duke skating past Oral Roberts in the 1st round before meeting an injury-riddled Tennessee squad in the Round of 32. The, he projects Duke will defeat Purdue in the Sweet 16 and Marquette in the Elite Eight.

Here’s Bilas’ analysis on how Duke matches up with the Golden Eagles:

Duke is playing as well as almost any team out there. The key will be Tyler Kolek. Can Tyrese Proctor keep up with him? Proctor is a terrific defender, but Kolek is the best pure point guard in the country. Duke will protect the rim and the paint, but Kolek and Kam Jones are difference makers. Still, I like Duke’s chances because of the defense and balance.

Bilas does have Duke’s season ending in the semifinals for the 2nd year in a row. He predicts Arizona will beat Duke in the Final Four and then go on to win the National Championship over UConn.

Bilas also noted earlier in the story that Duke is 17-1 with a healthy roster so far this season. The Blue Devils have dealt with injuries to key players throughout the year but have continued to improve.

Duke will play its opening round game on Thursday at 7:10 p.m. against Oral Roberts.
