Mike Krzyzewski returns to Cameron Indoor for first time since retirement

Mike Krzyzewski made his return to Cameron Indoor Stadium Tuesday for Duke’s matchup against Notre Dame.

Coach K is in attendance for Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey, who is set to retire from coaching the Fighting Irish at the end of the season. Coach K originally said following his retirement that he did not want to attend any Duke home games during head coach Jon Scheyer’s first season, so not to be a distraction.

However, with Brey being a former Krzyzewski assistant, it’s safe to say an exception was made.

Scheyer has done well with the Duke program following Coach K’s retirement. The Blue Devils are not threats for the no. 1 overall seed per usual, but have a solid team that is near the top of the ACC.

Kyle Filipowski is a big reason as to why; the freshman big man has been one of the better freshmen in the country and is handily Duke’s biggest threat.
