Paolo Banchero lands on cover of SLAM magazine after dominant performance vs. Kentucky
It didn’t take long for Paolo Banchero to gain some national attention.
One day after dropping 22 points in his debut in a win over Kentucky at Madison Square Garden, it was announced Banchero will be on the cover of the next edition of SLAM Magazine.

Banchero is arguably the top prospect in all of college basketball. His 22 points — and stellar defense — helped the Blue Devils defeat Kentucky on Tuesday night. He was able to produce on both ends of the floor despite battling cramps throughout the second half.
Banchero was the No. 2 overall player in the 247Sports Composite rankings for the class of 2021, trailing only Gonzaga’s Chet Holmgren.
It’s early in the year, but it looks like Duke will once again have one of the top teams in the country. Fellow 5-star Trevor Keels also had a big night in his debut, scoring 25 points and playing suffocating defense on UK guard TyTy Washington.
Duke will be in action again on Friday against Army.
