Mike Krzyzewski is moving on at the end of this season, but Duke’s recruiting appears to be in good hands with coach-in-waiting Jon Scheyer running the show.

Duke has four commitments in the top 10 of the latest 247Sports rankings update.

The Blue Devils have already earned verbal pledges from No. 1 Dereck Lively II, No. 2 Kyle Filipowski, No. 4 Dariq Whitehead and No. 10 Mark Mitchell.

With most — if not all — of Duke’s starting five expected to move on at the end of this season, it will be helpful for Scheyer to have this much talent coming into Durham. Paolo Banchero, AJ Griffin and Mark Mitchell are all currently projected to be first round picks in the 2022 NBA Draft.

All four of these prospects should have a chance to make an early impact next season.

Filipowski caught the attention of ESPN’s Jonathan Givony at an event earlier this month:

As these recruiting rankings continue to be fluid for the rest of the cycle, Lively, Filipowski and Whitehead have all case to eventually end up as the No. 1 player in this class.

Duke also has a commitment from 4-star guard Jaden Schutt. He’s the No. 4 overall shooting guard in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
