Report: Duke’s game vs. Georgia Tech expected to take place as scheduled

Duke is expected to return from its COVID-19 pause on Tuesday night vs. Georgia Tech as scheduled, according to a report.

That’s per 247Sports’ Adam Rowe, who cites multiple program sources. The Blue Devils were forced to postpone a pair of ACC contests last week due to a series of COVID-19 cases.

According to Rowe’s report, the Blue Devils are expected to have at least seven players and one coach available for their game vs. the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday. That’s the minimum requirement according to ACC guidelines.

Duke hasn’t played a game since defeating Virginia Tech 76-65 on Dec. 22. If the Blue Devils are able to face Georgia Tech on Tuesday, it will be their second ACC contest of the season. Other ACC programs, including Florida State, have had to go on pause due to the virus in recent weeks.

It’s unclear who Duke will be missing — if anyone — for the game against Georgia Tech. Duke has kept the same starting 5 all season so far: Jeremy Roach, Trevor Keels, Wendell Moore Jr., Paolo Banchero and Mark Williams.

Duke enters this week at No. 6 on KenPom’s live rankings

. It is No. 2 in the country, according to the most recent AP Top 25 poll.

Tipoff is at 9:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
