Riley Leonard scampers through Clemson defense for incredible 44-yard TD
Riley Leonard put his legs to good use on Duke’s first drive of the 2nd half on Monday night.
Leonard weaved through several Clemson defenders on his way into the end zone for a 44-yard touchdown, giving Duke a 13-7 lead.
Leonard looked to be corralled in the backfield for a loss by Barrett Carter before breaking free. Then, Leonard made multiple defenders miss and out-ran Clemson cornerback Nate Wiggins to the pylon.

Leonard’s athleticism is a big reason why he is viewed as a potential 1st round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Last season, he rushed for 699 yards and 13 touchdowns as he led Duke to its first 9 win season in nearly a decade.
It’s a tough look for Clemson’s defense, who has struggled to defend the quarterback run game so far in this contest. Leonard’s big run puts him at 86 yards — and counting — for the game.
Clemson led 7-6 at the half.
