2 defensive linemen reportedly depart Florida State’s program

Two Florida State defensive linemen no longer appear on the Seminoles’ online roster.

Defensive linemen Jarrett Jackson and Shambre Jackson are evidently no longer with the program. On3 first reported the roster change. Both players are expected t

o enter the transfer portal when it officially opens on Monday.

Jarrett Jackson just wrapped up his third season with the Seminoles. After starting his career at Louisville, he moved to Tallahassee ahead of the 2020 season. In three years with the Noles, he recorded 29 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss a

nd 0.5 sacks. He had one year of eligibility remaining.

Shambre Jackson just finished his second season with the Noles. He was unable to make an impact in Tallahassee despite his status as a 4-star recruit in the class of 2021. He appeared in two games over two seasons, but didn’t record any statistics for the Noles.

Florida State is likely to have more players enter the transfer portal in the coming days and weeks. True freshman Sam McCall has already announced his intentions to move on after just one season with the Seminoles.

Florida State will learn its bowl destination on Sunday.
