Florida State appears to be in a good spot for 2024 5-star cornerback Charles Lester III.

Lester recently look a visit to Tallahassee and raved about his time on campus.

“Every time I step on campus, I feel love,” Lester told 247Sports’ Chris Nee. “It is the same thing every time I get here. Even over the phone when I’m back at home, it is the same energy every time. So it’s just good to be here.”

Lester also praised FSU coach Mike Norvell and the entire coaching staff.

“I know more coaches out here than I probably know on my team,” he added. “That is how serious it is.”

Lester is a Florida native and attends Riverview High School in Sarasota. He’s an elite prospect, currently ranked as the No. 23 overall player and the No. 4 cornerback in the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Lester also has offers from some of the top programs in the country. His list includes Alabama, Georgia and Florida, to name a few.

Florida State’s 2024 recruiting class is off to a great start. The Seminoles already have commitments from 4 players, including 3 blue-chip prospects.

It’s still exceptionally early for the 2024 cycle, but the class currently ranks No. 1 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
