Florida State has put together an impressive transfer portal class this offseason.

The Noles have 9 commitments from transfers so far, including multiple players who were all-conference performers in 2022. The group includes several new linemen on both sides of the ball as well as a versatile tight end in Jaheim Bell and and shutdown cornerback in Fentrell Cypress.

According to anonymous coaches interviewed by ESPN this week, Florida State is one of the “winners” of the transfer portal cycle. One ACC coordinator told ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg that FSU is closing the gap on Clemson.

“Florida State did a tremendous job being the next most talented team,” the coach told ESPN. “FSU did theirs through the transfer portal.”

Florida State’s transfer class ranks No. 2 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

The other “winners” of the portal according to anonymous coaches are Michigan, Oklahoma, UCLA, LSU, Wisconsin, Colorado and USC.

The Noles will be hoping their portal class can help them contend for the ACC Championship alongside Clemson next season. In 2022, FSU went 10-3. It was the program’s 1st double-digit win season since 2016.
