The players of the ACC have spoken.

According to an anonymous players poll conducted by The Athletic, Florida State is the favorite to win the conference this season. The Seminoles received six of 13 votes for the top spot. Duke came in second with three votes. Virginia and Virginia Tech each received one vote.

Leonard Hamilton has turned Florida State into one of the most consistent basketball programs in the country. The Seminoles last won the regular season title back in 2020.

Last season, FSU went 11-4 in conference play and finished in second place. Virginia won the regular season title with an ACC record of 13-4.

The Athletic’s anonymous players poll also answered questions such as the toughest player to guard and the coach you would most want to play for in the ACC.

Florida State is No. 24 in KenPom.com’s initial rankings. That’s good enough for No. 2 in the ACC, trailing only No. 9 Duke.
