Betting line continues to shift in Florida State-NC State clash

Florida State heads to Raleigh in Week 6 for a huge matchup with NC State.

The conference foes are both coming off of a conference loss, so the stakes are high in this matchup. The betting line for this game opened at Florida State +5, but the line has now shifted to Florida State +3. When you factor in the home-field advantage points for NC State, this line shift essentially places the game in pick-em territory.

As we get closer to gameday, it seems the oddsmakers are leaning more to the Florida State side. The Seminoles have had the better offense to this point, but NC State’s defense is no joke. The Wolfpack are giving up a little over 15 points per game, which is the 19th-best scoring defense in the c

ountry.

However, other than Clemson, Florida State will be the best offense the Wolfpack have played to this point in the season. The Seminoles played a much tougher offense last week, in Wake Forest, and gave up 31 points. An additional factor that could be influencing the line shift, is that the Noles are a perfect 2-0 on the road thus far.

It is always an exciting matchup when an electric offense meets a top-notch defense. The winner of this game will be well-positioned in the unusually-tough Atlantic Division.
