Florida State picked up a major commitment in the class of 2022 on Friday afternoon.

4-star guard Chandler Jackson verbally committed to the Seminoles, becoming the fifth player to join their 2022 class.

Jackson is the No. 116 overall player and the No. 16 combo guard in the class of 2022, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He attends Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, Tennessee. He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 205 pounds. Jackson picked the Seminoles over offers from Kansas, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and several other top programs.

Florida State now has five total commitments in this class. 4-star center Cameron Corhen and 3-star power forward De’Ante Green are the other highly-ranked players in the fold.

FSU coach Leonard Hamilton has established a long history of being able to develop talent and produce winning results in Tallahassee. The Seminoles had won 20+ games in five consecutive seasons before going 18-7 last year in a COVID-shortened campaign.

Florida State has made the NCAA Tournament eight times since 2009.
