The ACC’s regular-season softball slate is in the books.

The bracket has been finalized for the ACC Tournament, which begins this week in Pittsburgh.

Here’s a look at the field, which is headlined by top-seeded Virginia Tech:

The Hokies went 21-2 in ACC play, which included a narrow series victory over Florida State in Tallahassee. Duke finished in second place in league play. The Blue Devils won this tournament in 2020, snapping a streak of 6 straight titles by the Seminoles.

Virginia Tech and Florida State are the favorites to win this year’s ACC Tournament.

With 49 victories, Florida State has more wins this season than any other program in the country. The Seminoles were led offensively by a consistent lineup — Mack Leonard, Sydney Sherrill, Devyn Flaherty, Michaela Edenfield, Kalei Harding and Kaley Mudge.

Each of those hitters finished the year with a batting average above .290. Edenfield — a freshman — led the way with 16 home runs.

In the circle, FSU had All-American candidate Kathryn Sandercock, who finished the year with a 26-1 record. Danielle Watson was Florida State’s No. 2 starter and posted an impressive 2.10 ERA.

The ACC Tournament begins with Louisville and Syracuse at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
