Florida State wrapped up its regular season with a 45-38 win over Florida this weekend.

The Seminoles are now 9-3 and could be in line for an at-large berth in a New Year’s Six bowl game. However, CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm is projecting FSU to miss the cutoff.

Palm’s updated bowl projections have Florida State facing Minnesota in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl on Dec. 30.

This would be FSU’s first-ever appearance in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, which has existed since 2002. Only three other ACC programs have never appeared in this bowl: Georgia Tech, Miami and Syracuse.

If Palm’s projection comes true, it would also be Florida State’s first-ever matchup with Minnesota. This season, the Gophers went 8-4 and finished in a tie for second place in the Big Ten West.

Florida State ended the year on a five-game winning streak. The Seminoles are likely to be the second highest-ranked ACC team when the new CFP rankings are revealed on Tuesday night.

FSU will learn its official bowl destination next weekend.
