Darrell Jackson will return to Florida State for the 2024 season, he confirmed on Wednesday.

Jackson missed the entire 2023 regular season after the NCAA ruled him ineligible to compete for Florida State due to the multi-time transfer rule. Jackson began his career at Maryland but also played for Miami back in 2022.

Jackson was able to make his FSU debut in its bowl game loss to Georgia. He was credited with 3 total tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss.

On Wednesday, Jackson agreed to a NIL deal for the 2024 season with FSU’s collective, The Battle’s End:

Jackson is expected to make a big impact on FSU’s defensive line next season. In 2022 with Miami, he recorded 4.5 tackles for loss and 3 sacks on the season.

Jackson will join a number of highly-touted defensive linemen who Florida State has added this offseason via the portal. FSU’s incoming haul of pass rushers includes Marvin Jones Jr., Grady Kelly, Tomiwa Durojaiye and Sione Lolohea.

Jackson has 2 years of eligibility remaining.
