Florida State legend and Jackson State coach Deion Sanders will miss a second consecutive game due to an ongoing health concern.
Jackson State announced that news on Friday:
“Whether coach Prime is on the field or not, his presence is always felt,” the statement said. “Under continued orders from his doctors, coach will not be on the sidelines Saturday and coach Harrell will lead the Tigers at Mississippi Valley State. We look forward to coach’s return to the sidelines.”
Sanders is still recovering from foot surgery and is dealing with another unspecified illness, according to FootballScoop.com

This is Sanders’ second season at the helm for Jackson State. He led the Tigers to a 4-3 record during their spring season earlier this year.
Jackson State is off to 6-1 start so far this fall, including a 4-0 record in conference play. The Tigers’ only loss this season came in a 12-7 defeat vs. Louisiana-Monroe back in September.
