Florida State linebacker DJ Lundy has withdrawn from the transfer portal and plans to play for the Noles in 2024.

Lundy entered the transfer portal back in December and committed to Colorado. However, he’s now set to return to Tallahassee and be a major part of FSU’s defense next season.

In his official announcement, Lundy said Florida State is where he’s “destined” to be:

This is a huge boost for Florida State’s defense. Lundy has been a three-year contributor for FSU and posted a career-high 6 tackles for loss last season. He has 183 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and 5 sacks in his Florida State career.

Lundy also has a role on Florida State’s goal line formation. He has 3 rushing touchdowns and 1 receiving touchdown in his career with the Noles.

The return also continues a trend of Florida State keeping its talent in-house. Defensive lineman Patrick Payton initially announced plans to enter the transfer portal this offseason as well, but instead will return to FSU in 2024.

Lundy has 1 year of eligibility remaining.
